Re: Changes to the Yeast Phenotype Ontology

Note from the authors: Since this manuscript was prepared, the scope of the YPO has been expanded to include Aspergillus mutant phenotypes. The ontology of observables, qualifiers, and experiment types is now called the Ascomycete Phenotype Ontology (APO), and the master file, termed 'ascomycete_phenotype.obo', is available at the Open Biomedical Ontologies website, http://www.obofoundry.org/. Within the file, terms are grouped into overlapping species-specific subsets. This allows the extraction of a file containing only the terms relevant to a particular species, so that database users and curators need not view irrelevant terms.
